About Misen
My cookware needs to be able to do two things: cook well and be easy to clean. As a budding amateur chef, I’m not looking for overly expensive pots, pans and tools, but I know how important it is to choose a professional line.
And that’s where Misen has piqued my interest. The company offers affordable kitchenware for anyone who loves to cook, and its sleek, high-quality selection is suitable for beginners and professional chefs alike.
The combination of premium quality and user-friendly features makes it easy to fall in love with this appealing, budget-friendly collection – just ask the 79,000 Instagram followers or Food Network chefs who say this brand “lives up to the hype.”
There’s a reason Misen originally raised over $1.7 million on Kickstarter for its direct-to-consumer cookware, but today it’s also loved for its sober tools. Serious Eats praised Misen for making the “holy grail of chef’s knives.”
With so much enthusiasm for this brand, I just had to find out more. And in this review of Misen cookware, you will. I’ll tell you all about the brand and its bestsellers, along with customer reviews, promotions and FAQ. Let’s get started.
Overview of Misen
I’ve always loved cooking. I’m certainly not going to be the next Iron Chef, but I love trying new recipes.
But often new recipes require new cooking methods, and I’ve noticed the difference between low-quality and high-quality pans when it comes to searing, sautéing and simmering. As an amateur cook, I don’t think much of the idea of investing my savings in cookware, and that’s why I appreciate what Misen has to offer.
Since it was founded in 2015 by Omar Rada, the company has made it its mission to offer high-quality cookware for little money. The New York-based brand, which manufactures its products near Shanghai, has taken inspiration from the French and made the culinary term “mise en place” (to put in place) its name.
A crucial part of mise en place is preparation with the right tools needed for cooking. The inspiration for Misen came after Rada’s boyfriend lost his only high-quality pan and they were both shocked at the cost of replacing it.
Misen was born out of the belief that “people should have access to quality tools at affordable prices. Because no matter how good you are, you can cook better with quality kitchen tools. Even though I’m not an expert, I’ve seen this in my own kitchen: perfectly cooked salmon, caramelized vegetables and eggs that we

Misen Knives Review

Chefs are often forced to choose between cheap, low-quality knives or overpriced premium products that never quite live up to the hype. I appreciate that Misen kitchen knives are both affordable and high quality – so you can slice, dice and cook without breaking the bank.
Next, in this Misen cookware review, I’ll introduce the company’s most popular knives. Whether you’re looking for a versatile chef’s knife, an effective bread slicer, steak knives or a complete set, one of these tools could be the newest addition to your kitchen.
Misen Chef’s Knife Review

If I had to choose just one knife to use for the rest of my life, it would be a chef’s knife. It’s big enough to handle squash and sharp enough to chop herbs – this knife is worth investing in.
The Misen chef’s knife combines the best elements of Western and Japanese blades. Made from high-quality AUS-10 steel, the blade offers a balance between long-lasting sharpness and durability. A unique, angled bolster promotes the proper “pinch grip” of the knife for comfort and control.
With this multifunctional chef’s knife, you can excel at a variety of cutting tasks and techniques. Pont-Neuf? Piece of cake. Small cubes? No problem. Chop small stones? No problem. The chef’s knife is available in four different colors for $65.
Misen Paring Knife Review

This little knife is the hardest worker in my kitchen. It may be small, but it can handle tough jobs.
I think the paring knife is the perfect companion to the Misen chef’s knife. The blade is made of AUS-10 steel and has a razor-sharp edge that is suitable for precision and fine work.
With this knife, you can peel the skin off delicate fruits, prepare minced meat, dice vegetables and perform other intricate cutting tasks. Get the small but mighty knife in three colors for $30.
Misen Pans Review
No dinnerware set is complete without sturdy cookware. Whether you’re a novice in the kitchen or a culinary master, Misen has affordable pieces to help you make all the dishes you desire.
From Misen’s non-stick pans and stainless steel pans to a complete cookware set, check out these popular items:
Misen Nonstick Pan Review

Who hasn’t scrubbed stuck-on food from a pan? Like so many others, I’ve literally picked the food out of the pan because it wouldn’t come off. It shouldn’t be like that.
With this non-stick pan, you can leave that messy cleaning chore behind. Unlike other non-stick pans, the coating is free from PFOA, a known carcinogen.
Instead, the surface contains a Dupont platinum coating, which is triple-coated for durability. The pan uses a unique plasma primer that enhances the performance of the non-stick coating.
The Misen non-stick pan features an ergonomic design with a removable, stay-cool silicone handle that is textured on the underside for comfort and control. The stain-resistant cookware is available in a variety of sizes:
- 8” for $46
- 10” for $72
- 12” for $66
I loved that the nonstick skillet is also available as part of a set. Here are your options:
- 10“ and 12” for $123
- 8“, 10” and 12” for $170
Misen Carbon Steel Pan

I think every cook needs a high-quality frying pan. I think it’s great that this pan is available in different sizes and in sets for small and large meals.
So here’s a question for you: What’s lighter than cast iron, non-stick and durable? Spoiler, it’s the carbon steel pan from Misen. The carbon steel construction is even stronger than stainless steel and makes this pan nearly impossible to ruin (making it ideal for novice cooks like me).
Carbon steel is similar in toughness to cast iron, but is much easier to transport around the kitchen. Rubbing the pan with oil gives it a natural non-stick property.
It is compatible with gas, electric and induction hobs. Choose between different sizes and sets for this Misen pan:
- 8” for $56
- 10” for $66
- 12” for $87
- 10“ and 12” for $154
- 8“, 10” and 12” for $211
Misen Cookware Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
For this part of my review of Misen cookware, I looked around for feedback on the brand and will tell you what customers honestly think. Let’s start with what I found on Misen.com.
A quick look at the homepage told me that the brand has 35,000 5-star reviews. As I browsed the knives, tools and cookware, I saw that thousands of shoppers had given the products near-perfect ratings.
For example, Misen’s non-stick skillet has received 4.9/5 stars out of over 6,300 reviews. Here’s what one customer had to say in their very detailed review:
“The two most important criteria for me are heat and even heat. The 10-inch pan browns very well on medium heat and the heat is evenly distributed. The pan holds as much as many 12-inch pans and is easy to clean. The weight is well balanced. This pan cooks the way pans should cook.”
I saw that the Complete Cookware Set also has 4.9/5 stars, with over 847 reviews from customers. This Misen review sums up the general attitude towards this set: “They are pretty, extremely sturdy and cooking has actually become easier. Not only that, but cleanup is so easy!”
I had a good feeling about the reviews on the brand’s website, but I went to Trustpilot to see if they agreed. They did.
In addition to product performance, many Trustpilot users have also highlighted the excellent customer service. I think this Misen cookware review captures the overall sentiment: “The products were of course of the highest quality, and every contact with the company was characterized by respectful and pleasant communication.”
To learn more, I switched to a Misen review on Reviewed.
The Reviewed author described Misen as “high-quality cookware that is comparable in performance to All-Clad, but costs significantly less.” She also said it had a “professional look.”
Is Misen Cookware Worth It?
Now the crucial question: is it worth buying from this brand? In this test of Misen cookware, I discovered high-quality materials, a diverse collection and really affordable prices. Misen proves that you don’t have to spend a fortune to get well-made cooking tools.
I can’t ignore the complaints about shipping and refunds in this Misen cookware review, but I know they’re not typical of the brand. In the context of an ongoing pandemic, we should all exercise patience. The negative comments make up only a tiny percentage of the total compared to thousands of glowing testimonials.
Whether you’re just starting out in the kitchen or you’re a top chef, I think Misen is a solid option. The company is constantly evolving and expanding its collection, so stay tuned for more cookware!
Misen Cookware Promotions & Discounts
I couldn’t find a Misen discount code, but several products and sets are currently on sale. When I first landed on the site, I was also greeted with a mystery deal.
Misen offers special deals from time to time, so I would recommend checking the website and social media regularly if you are looking for a deal.
Where to Buy Misen Cookware
The best place to buy the kitchen appliances is on the official website Misen.com. During my search, I found that the brand also offers selected items at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Amazon.
