They are quiet, easy to use and rechargeable. Each one comes with a handle for easy transport, although some weigh up to 40 pounds.

In my next review of Jackery, I’ll tell you all about their best seller.

Who Is Jackery For?

Jackery seems to be aimed at people who spend a lot of time outdoors, but honestly, customers use them for everything from powering electric craft machines to their electric scooters.

After experiencing what Jackery’s responsible power banks can do, I think they’re essential for almost everyone.

Whether you want to power your devices during a power outage or take them camping, there are a million ways to use the brand’s devices.

Jackery Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

A reliable power source is exactly why this brand was created, and if it doesn’t provide it, its products aren’t worth it. Plain and simple.

To find out if and how well they work, in this section of my Jackery review I’ll show you what I found after a thorough search for feedback.

My first stop was jackery.com. Below is a list of reviews for some of their best sellers.

  • Solar Generator 1500: 5/5 stars, 24 reviews
  • Explorer 1000 Portable Power Station: 4.5/5 stars, 149 reviews
  • Explorer 240 Portable Power Station: 4.9/5 stars, 126 reviews
  • Explorer 300 Portable Power Station: 4.9/5 stars, 80 reviews
  • Explorer 500 Portable Power Station: 4.8/5 stars, 121 reviews
  • Explorer 1500 Portable Power Station: 4.9/5 stars, 30 reviews

From the comments on the Explorer 1500 Portable Power Station, it seems that pretty much everyone who has bought it has been happy with its quality and efficiency. One review from Jackery read:

‘My expectations were far exceeded. Delivery was very quick and the parcel was very well packaged. I purchased the unit for extended power outages, and after testing it, I can run my large washing machine at least four times between loads…The correspondence with the company was also exceptional. I won’t go into the reasons why, but they went out of their way to help me.’

After reading a handful of comments from around the web, this type of service seems to be typical of the brand. Check out the next Jackery review I found to learn more about what the Explorer 240 can do.

This one comes from Amazon, where it’s rated 4.7/5 stars from 15k buyers:

‘I recently purchased the Jackery device to take with me on a camping trip. I used the unit to power my Meade 12-inch telescope and charge my phone and iPad…. I have a Meade Power Tank (nickel battery) that won’t last more than a few hours. The Jackery lasted two nights and ran the telescope from 9pm to about 1am both nights without recharging.’

The Jackery Explorer 240 not only outperforms other models on the market, it also provides more than enough power for your devices.

My general opinion was that the portable power bank felt durable and well-made.

Finally, I decided to take a closer look at the solar generator on Home Depot’s website. There it was rated 4.6/5 stars by 167 buyers.

The most common feedback on this device was that it is very high quality and works as described. Here’s what one customer had to say about what it can charge:

“I can run household appliances, an electric chair and an electric bed with this. My fridge runs perfectly… I will take Jackery on my handicap accessible scooter as the library is 8 miles away, the doctor’s office is 4 miles away, etc. With Jackery on board, I can charge the scooter’s battery and get home safely.”

Well, there you have it folks. Jackery actually makes reliable, long-lasting and powerful batteries. Customers like to take them camping and into the great outdoors, but it seems that many of them also use their batteries for everyday activities.

The most common complaint was about the company’s return policy. But overall, the number of positive comments was overwhelming, and there’s a good reason why this brand has sold over 1.5 million units to date.

Is Jackery Legit?

After reading the brand’s profile on the Better Business Bureau and wondering about the F score, I poked around in the comments to see what it was all about. There were a total of 10 negative Jackery reviews, 8 of which the brand didn’t respond to.

It turns out that there are fake Jackery websites (e.g. Jackery.xyz), and some complaints were forwarded to the BBB profile of the brand I featured, even though it wasn’t actually their problem.

They have managed to shut down some fake sites, but there is a possibility that some still exist. Make sure you shop directly on jackery.com.

Is Jackery Worth It?

The need for renewable energy sources will only increase over time. If you are relying on noisy and irresponsible gas generators, maybe it’s time to consider something greener.

Jackery is a highly recommended brand, and I personally like that their batteries were developed over years of research and refined over another 9 years by someone who knows their way around the most innovative labs.

I think it’s great that the brand offers smaller, affordable options alongside the larger power banks that are known for their quality. This means you have plenty of options to choose from for your needs and budget.

So are they worth it? I definitely think so, and so do hundreds of thousands of customers, many of whom use them on a daily basis.

Jackery Promotions & Discounts

When I tell you everything in my Jackery review, you also need to know details about what they offer.

I took a look at the brand’s entire website to see what they have to offer, and it turns out they offer free shipping and returns to US customers.

As a special bonus, you can enter your email address on the website to be entered into a sweepstakes. This way you can get up to 12% off or even win a free Explorer 1000.

Where To Buy Jackery

This is perhaps one of the most important things you’ll read in my Jackery review: If you want to buy directly from the brand, make sure you buy from jackery.com.

The brand has reported several scam sites, so be careful and go straight to the source.

If you’re interested in other reliable shopping options, you can find Jackery batteries and solar generators at these trusted partners:

  • The Home Depot
  • Walmart
  • Lowes
  • Amazon

FAQ

Who is the owner of Jackery?
Z. Sun, who previously worked as a senior engineer at Apple, is the co-founder and co-owner of Jackery. Named after the battery case the brand developed for the iPhone, Jackery was created in collaboration with Honda.

Can a Jackery power a house?
The Jackery Explorer 2000 is the brand’s largest battery and can power many large appliances in your home.

With a charging capacity of 2,160Wh, it can power air conditioners and small kitchen appliances at the same time. A single battery may not be enough to power an entire home.

How long do Jackery batteries last?
Jackery batteries last 500 life cycles, which corresponds to a useful life of about 2-3 years. After that, the battery reaches a maximum life of 80%, which then decreases further over time.

How much power the battery can deliver depends on which battery you use, what you have connected and how long you use it.

I have read that the Explorer 2000 can power an electric circular saw or hair dryer for 60 minutes continuously.

How do I connect Jackery to my home?
Jackery’s most powerful battery may not be enough to power your entire home, but it will provide enough power for large appliances and many of your devices.

To connect, all you need to do is plug your appliance or system into the DC sockets or USB ports.

Does Jackery ship internationally?
Jackery has several different versions of its website for international customers. If you are on the US version, you can only ship to the contiguous US.

Currently Jackery ships to the following countries:

  • The USA

  • Germany, Korea
  • Korea

What is Jackery’s shipping policy?
For US customers, Jackery will only ship to the contiguous US. That means no PO boxes and no addresses in Puerto Rico or Hawaii. The brand only offers a shipping service, meaning you can’t choose an expedited shipping method at this time.

No information is provided on how long orders take to process or ship, but reviews indicate that they arrive in less than a week for US customers. You’ll get a more reliable estimate once your order has shipped and Jackery sends you your confirmation email.

What is Jackery’s return policy?
Jackery seems to have a very simple returns procedure and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

This means that you can return your device for any reason (as long as it’s in good condition) and get a full refund. The process is pretty simple, and I’ll walk you through it below:

  • Send an email to hello@jackery.com and let them know that you would like a refund. You will also need to provide the following details:
  • Order number
  • shipping address
  • S/N code (you can find it on the bottom of your battery)
  • You will receive a free shipping label to print out and attach to the outside of your return package.
  • Hand in the parcel at your nearest post office.

As soon as your order has been received there, it will be checked and the refund will be made. This can take up to 14 working days, but is usually quicker.
