Jennifer Kovacs, vice president of merchandising for dog and cat products at Petco, tells Coco n Deals, “Pet owners are always finding new ways to treat and care for their pets like any other family member – including them in the design of their home is another way. It’s not just about setting up a place for pets to wipe their grubby paws; it’s about incorporating pets’ behaviors and preferences into the flow and design of the home, rather than excluding everything.”
According to the expert, this trend has been on the rise for years, with pet parents extending their personal preferences, standards, and expectations for their pets to everything from wellness to interior design.
“When pet parents prefer a modern, minimalist style for their home, they look for items that allow them to translate that style to their pet’s space.
